In July of 2025, LAMPAC's board of directors met to determine a future path for our PAC goals. At this time, board members recognized that we needed a name that better reflects our identity. Thus, LAMPAC became PhysiciansPAC.

What's the same? PhysiciansPAC's purposes remain:

1. To provide physicians and others with the opportunity to take a more active and effective role in the state’s political process.
2. To encourage physicians and others to understand the nature and actions of their government, as to political issues, and as to records, officeholders and candidates for elective office.
3. To contribute to the support of individuals seeking office who have demonstrated their beliefs in the policies and principles established by the LSMS’s House of Delegates or Council on Legislation.
4. To assist physicians and others in organizing themselves for more effective political action.
5. To encourage and develop physician candidates.
